OGSE Development Grant (OGSE DG)

The OGSE Development Grant (OGSE DG) is a 70:30 matching grant up to RM250,000 designed by MPRC under the Twelfth Malaysian Plan (12MP) (Rancangan Malaysia Ke-12 or RMK-12) to facilitate OGSE SMEs and mid-tier companies in developing or adopting technology and innovation as well as increase exports.

This programme intends to assist high potential, local OGSE companies in increasing their competitiveness in the industry and accelerate the development of innovative, market-driven products, solutions or services as well as increasing the creation of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for commercialisation purposes.

Programme Objectives

  • To support the development of the OGSE companies in increasing their competitiveness in the industry.
  • To support new technologies or further develop existing technologies with robust innovation.
  • To support the development of new technologies or further develop existing technologies toward the creation of new businesses and generation of economic wealth for industry and nation.
  • To encourage local OGSE companies and inventors to capitalise their intellectual works through Intellectual Property (IP) filings/registrations, and acquisition.
  • To stimulate growth and increase the capability and capacity of Malaysian technology-based enterprises.

OGSE Scope of Funding

Eligibility Criteria

  • Malaysian OGSE SMEs and MTCs with a minimum 51% equity held by Malaysian citizens
  • Minimum paid-up capital in cash of RM10,000
  • Company directors and project team members are free from fraudulent activities
  • Proposed project must contain elements of technology, innovation or export
  • Company must show financial health and ‘fit’ for the programme
