The OGSE Blueprint positions technology as a propeller for local companies to become high-tech leaders and regional powerhouses in oil & gas services. To this end, MPRC bridges the gap between government, industry and academia, fostering collaboration to achieve the OGSE Blueprint’s vision.
MPRC has initiated the OGSE Technology Network (OGTEN) as the primary platform to facilitate technology adoption and collaboration in the OGSE sector.
OGTEN connects government, industry and universities using a triple helix framework that fosters a culture of innovation and promotes knowledge and sharing. The aim is to facilitate the development and adoption of R&D by bridging OGSE companies to academia to effectively address industry pain points on innovation and technology within the OGSE sector.
OGTEN builds on OGSE Blueprint technology lever initiatives such as technology transfer partnerships, fostering local innovation and building a strong digital ecosystem, all with the aim of upskilling the workforce and propelling Malaysia’s OGSE sector to resilience and global competitiveness.
